Anna Skarke
Deputy MD, Svensk Handelstidning Justitia, Sweden
Anna feels it is very important to have a strong team spirit within the company.
When and why did you join the Group?
I started working at Dun&Bradstreet in 2002 as a Product Manager. The reason why I applied was the desire of a new challenge and the opportunity to work with the Nordic region. I wanted to work with creative product development and especially get the chance to sell my products internally to a Nordic sales team.
Describe your entire career path and the choices you have made.
I worked as a Product Manager for three years, responsible for Dun & Bradstreet’s monitoring services. This was an instructive and exciting period when I accomplished several launches. I got the chance to learn everything in the process from collecting data to enhanced products ready to sell. Since I am passionate about sales I once again wanted to work with external sales after being Product Manager for three years. At this time I got the chance to work as a Sales Manager responsible for both indoor and outdoor sales.
In January 2008 when Soliditet and Dun & Bradstreet became two separate companies I became Sales Manager for Soliditet’s Key Account Division. In the reorganisation of Bisnode Sweden in 2011 I was on maternity leave and was appointed deputy managing director for Svensk Handelstidning Justitia.
What is important to you at work?
For me it is very important to have a strong team spirit within the company. Positivity and knowledge exchange between colleagues always generate additional sales. To be able to develop and to do a career it is also very important to have a manager that believes in you, which is something I always had.
Why have you chosen to stay in the Group?
I have chosen to stay in the group because I believe that Bisnode is a company that encourage creativity and want employees to grow and to try new challenges. A group that always want to be the leading actor is incredibly stimulating to work for.
How would you describe the “Bisnode culture” in a few words?
The Bisnode culture promotes ownership, innovation and development.
